Your information, handled with care.
What I collect, why, and how to see or delete it.
The short version.
I only collect what I need to answer you and do the work you hired me for. I do not sell it, rent it, or use it for anything else. If you want to see it, fix it, or have it deleted, email me and I will look after it.
What I collect.
- When you book a call. The booking form asks for your name and email, and optionally your phone number, plus what you need help with, your timeline, and how you heard about me.
- When you email, call or text. Whatever you choose to send me.
- When you hire me. What the work needs: your business details, the files and logins you share for the project, and payment details. Payments go through Interac e-Transfer or Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
- When you visit this site. Simple visit counts: which pages were viewed, roughly where from (country), and what kind of device. This is counted without cookies and without identifying you.
Why I collect it.
To reply to you, prepare for our call, quote and do the work, send invoices, and keep the records the law asks a business to keep. I may email you about work we are doing together. I will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be on it, and every marketing email would include a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
Who helps me handle it.
A few trusted services store or process information for me: Tally (the booking form), Google Workspace (email and files), Vercel (hosts this site and counts visits), and Stripe (payments). Some of them store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States and the European Union, where it is protected by their own security and may be subject to local laws. I do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it.
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within a year. Client records are kept as long as we work together, plus the time tax rules require for business records.
Your choices.
You can ask to see what I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted (except what I must keep for tax records). Email papa@papaai.ca and I will reply within 30 days. I am the person responsible for privacy at Papa AI.
If you are not happy with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
